Meet Maureen K. Delaney, M.S. CCC-SLP
“The day I witnessed the transformative power of one Speech & Language Pathology session, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life’s work to the field of Communication Disorders.”
— Maureen K. Delaney, M.S. CCC-SLP
CVSLP offers outpatient personalized assessment, therapy and consultation services for both medical and school-aged populations.
Welcome! I'm Maureen K. Delaney, owner and founder of Champlain Valley Speech & Language Practice, LLC (CVSLP, LLC).
As an American Speech, Language & Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech & Language Pathologist, with a Master of Science degree & Certificate of Clinical Competence (M.S., CCC-SLP), I am licensed in Vermont & New York state in the USA. Additionally, I am registered to practice in Ireland as a Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) through CORU Health & Social Care Professionals, Ireland’s regulating body.
As a lifelong advocate for communication and connection with over three decades of clinical experience, I provide thoughtful, straightforward & engaging services to support individuals with communication challenges.
I specialize in working with Articulation, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & Social Thinking®, & Voice and Resonance challenges.
Articulation Therapy
For students working on speech sound development & correction, I provide assessments and fun, evidence-based therapy tailored to improve their ability to be understood by others.
Voice & Resonance
Evaluation, consultation, and therapy for disordered voice use, for example, diagnosed Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD), vocal nodules, spastic dysphonia, laryngectomy communication rehabilitation, as well as more in-depth medical referrals.
ASD & Social Thinking
I support learners on the autism spectrum or those who can benefit from perspective-taking and social language instruction. My approach is unique and fun, blending Social Thinking® principles with neurodiversity-affirming, real-world practice. This intervention improves an individual’s ability to better understand themselves, their environment & others, leading to increased social and life skills success.
One former ASD student’s personal explanation of how she would describe being Autistic.
Maureen consults with team members to develop inclusive intervention plans for individuals when needed.
